	Regard And Ritual Julie Held and Shanti Panchal May 6 - June 3 2007 Ben Uri Gallery This exhibition features two contemporary British Painters who share many strands of commonality. Both are immigrants, Shanti is the first generation Indian, born in Gujarat in India, whereas Julie, who was born in London to parents who escaped Nazi Germany, is second generation Jewish. Their work explores issues of memory and longing for a lost culture alongside a vibrant celebration of a new home and hopes for the future. both artists share a love of colour and simplicity of composition and are deeply rooted in a traditional respect for artists' materials and a humanist approach. the exhibition encompasses work from 1999 - 2006, and explores shares themes of family, faith and the rituals of everyday life that bind us all together.

	International Jewish Artists of the Year Awards March 25 - 29 2007 - Christies Auctions House, King St, London SW1 The culmination of the third bi-annual awards initiated by Ben Uri Gallery in 2002 which is now being held in March this year so it can be held at Christie's. Last Years Competition caw over 800 entries from 15 countries and this years promises to be even stronger. 	11th September - 26th November 2006 Love Revealed: Simeon Solomon and the pre-Raphaelites This fascinating exhibition will celebrate the career of the acclaimed Victorian artist Simeon Solomon; an associate of Rossetti and Burne-Jones. Solomon enjoyed early success; however, after his homosexuality became public knowledge in 1873 he was rarely able to exhibit his work again, relying for sales on a small circle of supportive patrons and friends. In recent years, Solomon’s work has been the focus of growing critical attention. He is increasingly recognised as a significant figure in the Pre-Raphaelite circle and appreciated as a talented artist of power and originality.
