One Hundred Plus - The London Group Draw

An event from our friends at The London Group..
Next year will be The London Group’s 100th anniversary funds are being raised for the ‘Open’ and other exhibitions to celebrate the centenary. Exhibitions are expensive and they plan to raise £10,000 to cover all the costs.
To raise the funds they are holding a One Hundred Plus Draw. This will involve over 100 works donated by past and present London Group members, invited artists and artists who have shown with us. Tickets for the draw will be sold at £100 each and the number of tickets will not exceed the number of works. Each ticket holder is therefore guaranteed a work of art. The tickets themselves are a unique section of a limited edition print by James Faure Walker.
The Draw will take place on the 4 October 2012 at The Cello Factory, 33-34 Cornwall Rd, London, SE1 8TJ. All donated works will be exhibited for four days prior to the draw. They are now being shown on the London Group website.
Invited artists who have donated work include, Glen Baxter, Eileen Cooper, Cosey Fanni Tutti, Robyn Denny, Ian McKeever, Robyn Denny, William Feaver, Maggi Hambling, and work from the estates of Trevor Frankland, Kenneth Martin and David Whitaker. Of London Group Members, Frank Bowling, Gus Cummings, Anthony Eyton , Anthony Green , Albert Irvin and Anthony Whishaw, who are all RAs, have also donated.

Ben Uri will be celebrating The London Group's centenary in 2013 with in a major exhibition featuring works by 50 London Group artists, representing the first 50 years of The Group, 1913-1963.
